VP/Director Emerging Media Development

Experian, a global leader in providing information solutions to organizations & consumers, is seeking a highly motivated Vice President/Director Emerging Media Development to join our team in our Schaumburg, IL or New York, NY location.  The selected candidate will be in a key management role in a high growth business line within Experian, changing the way media advertising is delivering and measured.  Experian?s Advanced advertising Solutions team helps advertisers, agencies and media improve the relevancy of traditional advertising to consumers through strategic marketing analytics and technology.

 

Responsibilities:

Media Business Development

? Manage emerging media development strategy to advance AAS short & long term vision

? Develop, manage & prioritize key media relationships and pipeline that service the strategic interests of the Advanced Advertising team & provide a platform for significant sales opportunities

? Actively participate in key trade organizations to advance AAS

? Deliver effective & compelling presentations to potential media partners

? Develop, utilize & manage compelling strategic tools that promote the effectiveness of our solutions to our clients & potential partners

Training

? Manage the evaluation & execution of new media partner opportunities

? Facilitate adequate training to the field sales teams, 3rd party partners & other internal groups

Other Responsibilities

? Cross functional & direct management of staff ? ability to assume larger staff of direct reports

? Work with executives & senior managers to set & meet strategic & tactical goals

? Communicate with senior management on strategy, process & resource requirements

? Establish & monitor qualitative & quantitative benchmarks to measure, evaluate & communicate our progress

? Identify opportunities to implement new product/services & work with product management team to investigate/implement

? Work with senior management to assess M&A activity

 

Requirements:

? Bachelor?s Degree, Masters preferred

? 8-15 years related industry experience; 5 years management experience

? Experience & C-Level contacts in television advertising, mobile marketing, or Internet advertising

? Experience in direct marketing and/or market research a plus

? Ability to successfully manage multiple important projects & resources at all times  effective at keeping senior levels of management aware of progress, potential roadblocks & opportunities

? Excellent written/oral communications, consultative & presentation skills

? Ability to facilitate negotiation of contracts, pricing & service level requirements

? Strong problem solving & project management skills

? Skilled at effectively presenting & selling new ideas & concepts

? Strong interest & understanding of advertising & marketing communications

? Effective & comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment within larger marketing services organization

? Good working understanding of emerging & existing technology

? Up to 30% travel
