Position Summary: 

Under general direction of the Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for meeting, assessing, and documenting internal client initiatives within the Retail business segment.  This role will be tightly aligned with the Corporate GVP?s and Regional Segment VP?s in the Retail segment and will dotted line to the SVP, Retail Sales & Marketing.

 

Primary Duties And Responsibilities:  Identifies opportunities for AmerisourceBergen and determines development status of initiative; collaborates with segment leadership and business management teams on strategic development.Assesses and ensures the respective initiative is in alignment with overall corporate marketing and corporate strategy.  Supports the development of a scope of work appropriate financial sizing of the segment specific marketing initiatives.  Develops and communicates point of concept work to support final initiative concepts.Communicates initiatives to all other marketing associates within the department.  Involves other marketing associates as needed for initiative implementation and communication, both internally and externally.  Manages outsourced support in the development of segment specific collateral and deliverables.Works closely with Managers of Internal Client Relations to coach and mentor in order to enhance performance.  Participates in segment business reviews.Provides segment specific updates related to marketing initiatives to the ABDC Core Team.Contributes to the budget planning process for the department and segment for all marketing initiatives. Must be willing to travel as required (up to 35% of the time).Performs related duties as assigned.

 Experience And Educational Requirements:  Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, communications, sales, marketing or similar vocations obtained through completion of a Master?s Degree Program (MBA preferred); normally requires a minimum of eight (8) years related and progressively responsible experience in a professional marketing environment.  Experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare field required; prior experience with national and/or regional chain customer. Good working knowledge of retail pharmacy operations is a plus
