Description: 1) Support the sale of Standard Ad Packages on Your Channel: -Define the standard ad packages that can be purchased by advertisers on Your Channel. These definitions include frequency of exposure, pricing and specialty creative (where relevant). Ensure that these packages are exciting to customers and are profitable to the company. -Create strong quantitative and qualitative selling stories for these ad packages. -Develop persuasive selling materials that help close deals: PPT, Print, Video, Direct Mail, Case Studies, etc. -Ensure that our ad packages and selling materials are compelling to multiple constituencies including: oMarketing and Media / Agency personnel at our advertisers oMarketing and Merchandising personnel at our retailers -Collaborate with Sales personnel on a daily basis: oProduce enhanced / customized materials for individual presentations oContinually evaluate and refine our selling story and our materials oMaximize our on-going effectiveness 2) Maximize the sale of Custom Ad Packages on Your Channel: -Develop $1mm+ deals that utilize custom creative, exposure and timing to best leverage the business goals and strategies of long-term advertisers. -Manage the development of the materials needed to sell these custom deals. -Lead an on-going, cross-functional team of senior personnel from Marketing, Sales and Programming. -Keep multiple (2-4) of these projects running simultaneously in multiple Departments. -Evaluate and develop cost-effective integrated marketing programs (website, couponing, etc.) that can be bundled with a media buy on the network to drive revenue. -Responsible for partner development and coordination of integration. -Develop selling materials for these programs. -Identify new research and analysis that will make our ad packages even more appealing to our advertising customers. -Develop and Manage effectives teams. -Manage direct reports for maximum effectiveness, growth and satisfaction. -Collaborate with other Marketing Directors / VPs in Research, Sales Development, Product Development and Store Compliance. -Build strong working relationships with Senior Management in other Departments. -Manage budget to +/- 5% of plan.
Requirements: -10+ years professional experience -Extensive experience selling or supporting the sale of traditional and/or new media -Understanding of how marketers and agencies evaluate and purchase media -Extensive experience working intimately with a sales organization to close deals -Understanding, appreciation and excitement for the selling process -Ability to create compelling advertising packages / programs -Ability to create persuasive selling stories / materials -Ability to manage teams, especially peer to peer teams across Departments -Ability to manage and prioritize multiple priorities -Ability to manage and develop direct reports -Creative problem solver
