Currently headquartered in Boston, Mass we are relocating to a state-of-art facility in Canton, Mass. in November 2006. Our 50+ locations in select territories across the country represent our core commercial and personal insurance businesses, as well as specialty groups including: International Marine Underwriters (ocean marine), NJ Skylands (N.J. personal insurance), Adirondack (NY personal insurance), OneBeacon Agri, OneBeacon Professional Partners (professional liability), OneBeacon Specialty Property (excess property) and Community Bankers.

 

We have an excellent opportunity for a Web Communication Consultant. This position is responsible for leveraging the Web as an integral element of OneBeacon?s marketing and communications strategies which contribute to the achievement of overall OneBeacon objectives.

 

Primary responsibilities include: Managing OneBeacon?s online presence to ensure a consistent brand experience by providing standards for design, architecture, content delivery, and the overall experience for employees, agents and customers. Collaborating with business partners to ensure the OneBeacon Portal and public Web sites contribute to the achievement of business objectives. Encouraging content ownership by the business areas by providing education and tools which institutionalize self-publishing, and promoting quality control measures that ensure the integrity of site content. Ensuring that posted content is relevant, timely, and accurate, and that it reflects corporate standards by training users, providing online guidelines and coordinating regular content audits. Overseeing the Portal Governance Committee and ensures that senior management is kept abreast of issues and opportunities. Developing external resources to support OneBeacon?s online presence.

 

Requirements Needed: Deep knowledge of content publishing, Web site architecture and design. Direct experience managing multiple Web sites required. Familiarity with writing and editing under the AP style manual and marketing communications. Requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Must be able to use a variety of techniques to analyze complex problems and solutions. Insurance industry experience preferred Demonstrated proficiency with computer software including current Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Vignette?s Content Management System publishing tool and other applicable applications and programs. Must also have Ektron, HBX Metrix tools Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required 7-10 years of experience in marketing and Web communications
