Web Community Manager

The Web Community Manager, Teen Site is a talented and driven person that will manage and grow a new online community. The ideal person for this position has an understanding of interactivity and online community and an affinity for teen media.

Responsibilities include leading and nurturing the growth of an online community for teens, determining moderation policies and community rules while staying abreast of industry trends and best practices, managing a staff of moderators and coordinating moderation schedules as well as working collaboratively with the team to brainstorm and develop new community functionality.
The ideal candidate has three plus years experience leading an online community as well as an interest in teen media. A passion for and a commitment to the interests of teenage girls is desired. This person also has excellent writing skills and is highly literate in the language and processes of online media including Word, Excel and basic HTML.
