Web Designer/Developer

Education Level: Bachelor?s Degree in Visual Communication, Interactive Design or equivalent experience

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The web designer position reports to the VP of Marketing and involves all website, web advertising and internal graphic design for the company.  Main responsibilities include:

-  Building all website content for company events, trainings and conferences

o  Marquee websites and unique domain sites for larger conferences, using templates

o  One-page sites added to the company website for smaller events

o  Using Dreamweaver for all web design and FTP transfer

o  Using Photoshop to create graphics for sites

o  Communicating with the marketing team on site/page concept and content

-  Daily and weekly maintenance for www.performanceweb.org

-  Banner ad creation using Flash, Photoshop and/or Dreamweaver

-  Working with form submissions and customer service to ensure form accuracy

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates should have 2-3 years experience in a deadline-driven web design environment and/or a degree in graphic design, web design or related technology/arts degree.  They should be self-motivated, have a STRONG attention to detail, possess excellent organizational skills, technologically sound, a creative problem solver and have experience in the responsibilities listed above.

 

Software: Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Professional/Distiller and Microsoft Office.  Coldfusion, CGI Scripts, JavaScript, InDesign, and Illustrator are preferred, but not necessary.
