Web Site Manager

Job Summary:

Our client has retained us on an exclusive basis to find the right individual to join their staff on a full-time, permanent basis.  We are seeking a web site manager with 3+ years of web site management experience to play the lead role in managing MarketResearch.com web sites, applications, and systems, enhancing and supporting them as necessary to meet our business goals.

Web Site Manager reports directly to the VP of Marketing, and works closely with the marketing and tech teams to drive implementation of site updates and enhancements. Responsibilities include daily Web maintenance, implementation of Web site updates, management of content updates, and interaction with constituents for Web page/site development. Key qualities for this position are strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to translate stakeholder requests into efficient and scalable solutions and manage and prioritize concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities:

? Manage five websites for content, design and usability.

? Ensure overall Web site quality assurance to include properly formatted metadata, common look and feel pages, and navigation buttons.

? Analyze usability of web sites and recommend improvements.

? Implement web site updates to optimize search engine rankings and test measures to improve conversion rates for registration and sales.

? Work closely with electronic marketing manager to insure proper tracking and reporting of web statistics.

? Review and oversee content-related processes; work closely with publishing and publisher relations teams to establish guidelines for content formatting and quality assurance.

? Evaluate new Web authoring tools or products.

? Review and maintain quality standards of presentation of content.

? Work with development staff to help with the launch and support of all software used on the web site.

 

Successful Candidates will have:

? 3 to 5 years of related experience in managing content-driven web sites.

? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.

? Experience in programming in ASP helpful.

? Strong knowledge of HTML, Javascript, Internet architecture, Networking technology, XML web services, or Windows client application technology.

? Knowledge of WebTrends, a plus.

? Experience with search engines and content categorization/taxonomy management, a strong plus.
