Web & Multimedia Designer
SummaryDesign and develop Web sites and electronic collateral to support Thomson Medstat marketing communications initiatives. Technical activities will include, but not be limited to, creating web portals and micro-sites, graphics and icons, electronic demos, online surveys, electronic newsletters, email campaigns, and other tools for communicating with the market and capturing sales leads. Although you may utilize an editor, your skill set needs to include an understanding of HTML without the help of an editor. Basic programming and database experience ? and familiarity with ASP and ASP.Net -- is required.
Additionally, a qualified candidate should possess the ability to translate complex and abstract concepts into highly effective electronic communications. The candidate should be able to work in a collaborative corporate environment, meet deadlines, juggle multiple assignments, and provide counsel and receive constructive criticism diplomatically.
Description? Develop professional Web content; contribute to site design decisions; and work within corporate brand and design standards.
? Create original layout, graphics, icons, and video materials for use in online advertising and promotions.
? Develop and construct HTML, Flash, and other technology-based prototypes, visual interfaces and navigation structures for the Web and electronic marketing tools (i.e. newsletters, banners).
? Develop interactive components of Web and electronic marketing materials that are database driven.
Qualifications? Bachelor?s degree in fine arts, graphic design, or related field.
? A strong portfolio that demonstrates experience in Web, interactive, and multimedia design.
? Experience in an agency or corporate marketing department is preferred.
? Graphic design, vector and raster based animation.
? Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign,, Flash, Director, ASP, HTML, SQL, email technologies, and Powerpoint.
? Basic database and programming experience.
? Familiarity with Final Cut and Flash Video is a plus.
