Asian Diversity, Inc. (ADI) was established in 1987 to promote and empower Asian Americans in the workplace.  Since its inception, ADI has assisted many organizations in incorporating Asian Americans into their diversity initiatives.  Over the years, ADI has expanded its? services to include online career portal, a full service search firm, and the organizing of conference and career expos designed to connect companies with Asian American professionals. Starting 2007, ADI is organizing career events in Asia in countries  such as China, Korea, and India to open up totally new career opportunities in the region.

 

Due to the expansion plan in the fall of 2006, we are looking for several highly motivated people to join us.  Many of the functions had been managed by only a few people in the past, but due to the expansion plan, many departments are being reorganized / created.  The positions are created in Web dept, Career Events dept, and Marketing dept.  We also have several nonpaid, for school credit internships available for the college students in NYC area.

 

Responsibilities:

-organizing and executing of Asian Diversity Career Expos and Global Asian Job Fairs which will take place in New York, S.F., and in Asian Cities.

-  attendee outreach campaign

-  Handle conference logistics. 

- Communicate with various parties including company HR departments, community based organizations and university alumni, career and cultural centers.

- Web content producing and promotion

- Forging alliance with various professional and industry association

-  Client development



 

 

requirements

 

-  Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both oral and verbal.

- Bilingual or Bicultural skills in Asian languages strongly preferred

-  Strong sense of self-initiative.

-  Ability to work closely with co-workers and effectively manage multiple assignments.

- Ability to prioritize projects and to meet deadlines.
