Webmaster

California Cryobank, Inc., a leader in the reproductive tissue banking industry, has an immediate opening for a Webmaster.  This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day development, maintenance, and optimization of the Company?s websites and portals for customer acquisition and retention.  The ideal candidate requires a good balance of programming, design, creativity, layout, marketing, project management and organizational skills.  Primary responsibilities include maintenance of the functional, visual, and editorial integrity of all areas of the site, including product and landing pages, customer support and media center, and various features and tools.

 

Responsibilities:

? Work with the organization to continuously develop, maintain and improve web content and design on a daily basis with innovation and professional consistency

? Prepare, design, and layout documents for website implementation, as well as implement code into web pages

? Design and develop graphical elements, email templates, web pages, flash multimedia projects, and web-based promotions and campaigns to drive leads

? Ensure that all aspects of the websites are current, well-designed, and properly maintained

? Work with marketing and other departments to scope, schedule, and prioritize projects

? Test & QA of delivered website

? Effectively manage, warehouse and catalog of all website content assets

? Provide input into web strategy, standards, layouts, navigational features, functional design, and usability

? Point-of-contact for all website requests; communicate and submit requests to external Vendor

? Interface with Vendor for external web development projects

? Analyze metrics and recommend improvements/programs to increase conversion rates, ROI, and customer satisfaction and reduce costs per lead/client

? Advise internal groups on all issues relating to websites

? Support the corporate search engine optimization program and provide input based on expertise and research

 

Requirements 

? HS Diploma minimum, Bachelor?s degree preferred

? 3-5 years related experience, including: managing/implementing Yahoo Search Marketing and Google AdWords; analyzing website statistics and usage behavior using WebTrends; and  website content management using CMS software

?Understanding of web graphics and photo optimization

? Experience coding for cross browser and platform compatibility

? Knowledge of web standards and conventions

? Understanding of accessibility/sec 508 compliance

? Proficiency in scripting HTML, JavaScript, XHTML, and CSS

? Proficiency in QuarkXpress, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Freehand and video editing software

? XSL, XML, XMLT, Flash, a major plus

? Knowledge of preparation and optimization techniques of images for delivery over the Internet and other networks

? Knowledge of common internet application development and production software

? Familiarity with web development applications, including Cold Fusion, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks, and Flash

? Experience implementing affiliate programs

? Typography, color theory and other design skills training

? CRM experience

? Exceptional verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills

? Team-oriented nature

? Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and QA skills
