eNewsletter Journalist / Client Services

Overview
SimpleSend is looking for candidates with strong journalistic writing experience and talent combined with great client management skills.


The Position
The eNewsletter Journalist will receive story leads from the client for a weekly eNewsletter relating success stories of government funded programs.  The Journalist will conduct interviews and fact finding and write 4-5 articles of about 250 words in length.  The articles will be approved by the Client and then laid out in SimpleSend and sent to the Client for final approval.  Additional writing will be needed as more clients wish to use SimpleSend to create their content.  Additional tasks include the creation of marketing content for SimpleSend and providing support for clients with questions about how to use SimpleSend. 


Qualifications/Requirements
- 2+ years of professional journalism experience
- Strong writing, copyediting, and proofing skills
- Ability to create brand personality using appropriate tone and voice
- Technically curious with strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly
- Constantly looking for ways to improve service and process
- Able to work directly with demanding and exacting clients
- Attention to details and directions is a must
- Ability to self-manage and work on multiple projects at one time
- Basic HTML skills.  (Tables, nested tables, align, etc.) 
- Able to drive to interviews in the Los Angeles area
- Bachelor?s Degree
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Photoshop knowledge is a plus
- Spanish proficiency is a plus for some interviews
- Ability to work from home

Compensation
$35,000 - $40,000 or more depending on Skills and Talents
