3583 Cost/Price Analyst Sr.

This position will be responsible for providing part cost estimates for supporting supplier price negotiations and new business proposals for the division.

 

Essential Functions:

 

1. Ensure complete and timely response to cost inquiries and data submittals.

2. Knowledge of costs and cost trends of raw materials, manufacturing cost rates and special processing costs.

3. Ability to reference cost information and it?s sources.

4. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and documentations.

5. Apply continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to areas of production.

6. Report preparation from collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and making recommendations for cost breakdown, and/or cost improvements.

7. Ability to travel occasionally on short notice.

8. Ability to work independently and under pressure.

9. Develop, maintain and track schedules.

10. Actively participate in team meetings and support development of team strategic plan.

 

Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering or related field and/or equivalent work in a machine shop environment.

2. Knowledge of raw materials.

3. Ability to write processes and estimate run and setup times.

4. Ability to use parametric data to develop cost estimates.

5. Six or more years experience in machining and/or manufacturing environment.

6. Basic knowledge of application and scope of the special processes (heat teat, plating, NDT, etc.)

7. Proficient in MS Office products.

8. Strong communication skills.

9. Willing to travel 2 ?3 weeks at a time approximately 3 ? 4 times a year.
