Rolls-Royce is pleased to announce an opening for a UG Mechanical Modeler in our Mount Vernon, OH facility.

The successful candidate will:

Rolls-Royce Power Engineering produces gas turbine power solutions globally for the oil & gas/power generation markets. The Designer/Modeler will be part of the Engineering function within the Structures Acoustics and Ancillary Value Stream producing detailed drawings that form part of the overall package. Structures Acoustics and Ancillary responsibilities include but not limited to the design of Baseplate Fabrication (structural member which the package sits on) and machining detailed drawings, foundation and bolting layouts and overall major equipment assembly drawing including bills of material for the package. In addition the Designer/Modeler shall be capable with liaising with the manufacturing facility of the organization to make practical decisions. The role demands the individual to be capable of working as part of a team with the initiative to make their own decisions and working to a plan to ensure deliverables are met on time and correct. The Designer/Modeler will report to the Lead Designer.

Position requirements include:

Basic:
Experienced Unigraphics V18 CAD/NX/team center system operator. Applicants shall have completed an engineering technical trade school and progressed through the drafting family and have at least five years design experience.
Preferred:
Experience in gas turbine packaging or an equivalent mechanical drafting field which could be applied to Packaging Engineering.
