A multi-billion dollar Aerospace company has an imediate need of a System Engineer III position

This position will be located in  Redmond, WA facility as part Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System group (EGPWS). The Redmond facility designs a wide array of radar equipment and related components. This facility houses more than 1000 individuals that design and develop a variety of tracking and radar systems.

 

Job Description:

The company is seeking a Systems Engineer to contribute to the development, verification/validation and integration of the EGPWS. This position includes the development of system requirements and specifications, hardware and applications. This position also requires the development of Certification documentation including TSO submittals. Systems or Software Designated Engineering Representative (DER) desired but not required.

The successful candidate will have:
? Experience with commercial avionics, developing system designs and writing specifications, requirements development and verification/validation testing
? Hands on experience in troubleshooting aircraft systems and related interfaces
? Strong knowledge of avionics related industry standards
? Experience applying for Technical Standard Order (TSO)
? Strong technical writing skills
? Experience developing and executing system level test procedures
? Ability to work closely with other Engineers and come up to speed quickly on existing designs and platforms
? Ability to take initiative, communicate effectively and work directly with a large team in a fast paced environment
? Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time and work in a lab environment
? Ability to utilize PC equipment; skilled in MS Office
? BS in Engineering or Applied Science
? 7+ years of engineering experience in avionics system design and test
? Knowledge of DO-178B and FAA guidelines a plus
? Excellent verbal and written communications skills
? Demonstrate strong problem solving, decision-making, team building and leadership skills
