Aircraft Aux Power Unit Mechanics
Auxiliary Power Unit Mechanics: 4 Positions
* A&P and/or P License preferred.
* Performs disassembly of Auxiliary Power Unit down to the component level. Further disassembly of accessories.
* Identifies and tags components and parts for later use. Sorts and segregates Auxiliary Power Unit parts visually.
* Order replacement parts.
* Adhere to applicable safety procedures.
* Cleans Auxiliary Power Unit components and parts.
* Visually examine parts for cleanliness before releasing to inspection.
* Order additional parts for Auxiliary Power Unit, if required.
* Examine / Inspect Auxiliary Power Unit parts for reparability and/or serviceability.
* Route to Non-destructive Inspection (NDI) and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) if suspect parts require more detail inspection.
* Past gas turbine engine experience a plus.
