Airframe & Powerplant Technician

Bombardier Aerospace, Hartford Service Center is seeking talented Airframe and Powerplant Technicians to perform maintenance on the Challenger, Global Express and Learjet Aircraft models.  Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of experience performing maintenance on Corporate or Commercial Aircraft.  Experience on our product line is a plus.  See job description below for more details.  Please include shift preference when applying for the position.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Adhere to BBAS/BCC General Work RequirementsPerform maintenance on customer aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA/JAA regulationsPerform inspections, making adjustments and repairs, replacing components, and correcting malfunctions or deficiencies Perform basic mechanical and electrical removals and installationsDocument work performed per appropriate manuals including, but not limited to, Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM), Structural Repair Manual (SR), Maintenance Manual and Component Maintenance ManualAccess and re-install aircraft components which obstruct the performance of assigned tasksWork in shops as well as on aircraftOperate ground support equipment including, but not limited to tugs, jacks, nitrogen servicing and oxygen servicingProvide a list of parts needed on squawks within area of expertiseAssist with repairs on off-aircraft components such as flight controls, leading edges, gear components, tires, wheels and actuatorsAssist with complex repairs at on-site & off-site locationsAssist in performing APU runs for the purpose of system operations and troubleshootingPerform other tasks such as cleaning aircraft using approved materials, methods, and equipment, and load and secure ballast and/or freight as directed

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:A&P Certificate2+ Years of experience performing maintenance on Aircraft.Basic set of hand tools
