Aviation Engineers

Position Summary: Develop concepts and designs for flight control products. Assure that these products integrate cohesively and meet applicable requirements.

 

Essential Functions:
Develops Systems requirements for autopilot/flight director systems including system performance, system interfaces, architecture, and algorithms


Works with OEM customers to develop customer unique requirements
Develops control law algorithms


Validates the design via bench testing of the system or through flight testing


Supports and/or conducts autopilot calibration during flight test and ensures the autopilot meets performance standards


Supports control systems analysis to support the design of control laws and algorithms


Supports systems safety analysis throughout the design life cycle


Develops and conducts test plans, procedures, and results for bench and flight test validation in support of FAA certification


Maintain and communicate requirements, allocate requirements among subsystems, and assure compatibility among subsystems so that the product ultimately meets its final objectives
