' Coordinates schedule for Goodrich-supplied material at the time Purchase Order is placed. Verifies quantities supplied and delivered.
' Responds to Engineering Change Orders by revising existing Purchase Orders.
' Maintains P.O. schedule and open P.O. report.
' Resolves issues in receipt routing preventing parts from being closed to stock (i.e. paperwork, part quality, etc.); communicates priorities to Receiving/Receiving Inspection.
' Communicates with suppliers and internal customers regarding delivery dates, quality, etc.
' Manages branch plant inventory levels and transactions, including setting specific order quantities, part movement between vendors and Goodrich, and aging control.
' Manages physical inventory counts for Goodrich-owned material at vendors.
' Manages supplier invoices, including 'actioning' payment and resolving problems as required.
' Confers with suppliers to obtain product availability, and delivery schedule.
' Reviews order messages and prepares purchase orders.
' Maintains procurement metrics such as supplier schedules, customer requirements, items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories (excluding R&O and Product Support).
' Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
' Conducts Supplier Program reviews in conjunction with Strategic Procurement.


- Four year college degree in business related studies is preferred, but not required.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Five to seven years of relevant job experience preferred.
- Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma experience a plus
- Experience in material planning, inventory control and/or purchasing in a manufacturing and
repair environment.
- APIC's or CPM Certification helpful.
- Negotiating experience highly preferred.
- Effective Communication Skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Software.
