C4I ENGINEERING SPECIALIST

C4I Engineering Specialist needed to stay abreast of research, development, acquisition, security, system interfaces and fielding issues associated with: Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS); Global Command and Control Systems (GCCS); Global Decision Support Systems (GDDS); legacy mission planning systems, such as Portable Flight Planning Software (PFPS) and Mission Planning System (MPS); follow-on mission planning systems, such as the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS); the Common Operating Environment (COE); Air Intelligence Agency; AF Information Warfare Center; and activities and developments concerning the Air Forces Battle Lab Test Centers for issues relating directly to mission planning technology interfaces. Provide training and user support for C4I systems.

Requirements:

Must possess a Bachelors Degree. In-depth knowledge of the USAF organizational structures, intelligence, functions and procedures, as well as command relationships and responsibilities required. Familiarity with Unified Command structure, joint doctrine and joint policies required. Working knowledge of processes and procedures for using automated tools to plan and execute the air battle, task and direct air forces, use reconnaissance platforms and other intelligence resources, and perform mission planning. Understanding of the Theater Air Control System (TACS) and all of its elements and interfaces required. These elements include, but are not limited to: Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS), RIVET JOINT, Airborne Battlefield Command and Control Center III (ABCCC), JSTARS, Air Support Operations Center (ASOC), Air Operations Center (AOC), and Joint Information Center (JIC). Familiarity with the USAF C4I and AIS strategic plans and architectures. Individuals must have a minimum of three (3) years experience working with C4I systems. Experience working at Wing level or higher using the systems referenced above to participate in planning, directing, and / or controlling theater air operations in support of the Combat Air Forces (CAF) is desired.
