CF34 Maintenance Instructor

Conduct technical training courses to include engine design theory and hands-on engine parts removal and installation for CF34 engines to include line maintenance, borescope inspection, and Hot & Cold section assembly/disassembly.  Primary engine expertise on CF34-3A1/-3B1 engines required with the flexibility to train on CF34-1A/-3A/-3A2 engines as needed.

 

Serve as the subject matter expert for development and maintenance of course material content in instructor lead training; computer based training and digital training aids.

 

Lead and drive teams on evaluating and eliminating quality defects in training delivery to include management and maintenance of engine hardware and tooling; standardization of training material development, standardization of training delivery and other customer training initiatives.  Serve as the subject matter expert in customer consultations for developing customer specific training.

 

Evaluate and manipulate fleet data to develop CF34 classroom hot topics.  Use six sigma to evaluate fleet trends and customer training data. 

 

Work with product support engineering in performing form, fit and function evaluations of field fix issues or new design theories.

 

Serve as primary mechanic for upgrade/maintenance of CF34 training engines.

 

Serve as host for visiting GE customers to assist with directions/information on local attractions and central point of contact when they experience problems.

 

Qualifications:

 

?Strong verbal and written communication skills

?Strong presentation skills

?Strong instruction skills, ability to explain concepts

?A&P mechanic license or 5 years experience in engine assembly/disassembly

?4 year technical degree or equivalent

?Project management skills

 

This is a 1 year contract assignment.
