Job Description

Will serve as a professional authority in air / re-entry vehicle aerodynamic and aerothermodynamic analysis. Will collaborate in preliminary and advanced configuration development studies and prepare portions of engineering presentations, reports, and proposals.

Must be capable of functioning as a Program Lead aero/aerothermodynamic analyst.

Conceive and develop solutions to air/re-entry vehicle modeling, analytical, design, and test problems that program(s) experience. Aid in establishing systems philosophy and design objectives. Analyze and resolve failures in test and service.

Assure continuity of design features from advanced design through contract completion. Write major portions of complex specifications and engineering reports as a result of advanced studies, special engineering investigations, and similar activities. Develop aspects of new theory and design criteria for general application.

Skills Needed:

Requires proficiency in industry standard Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) codes (e.g. CFD++, CART3D) as well as NASTRAN.

Must be proficient on a wide range of computing platforms and software, including Word, Excel, FieldView, Windows, and CAD also required. Relevant design experience required. CFD code development and wind tunnel / flight testing experience desired.

Minimum qualifications include Bachelor's in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred), plus at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Must be United States Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Alien.
