CNC Operators

Manufacturing organization between Cincinnati and Dayton is in search of several CNC Lathe, Manual Lathe and CNC Mill Operators.  These positions will be 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities.  Position will be contract to direct opportunities. Excellent opportunity with growing facility. Summary or requirements are as follows: some requirements vary slightly between the different positions. We need strong individuals who can do manual work. Each piece of equipment needs to be set up!

 

Responsibilities:
Reads process sheets, blueprints, and sketches of part to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.
Positions and secures tools in holders
Lifts work piece manually or with hoist, and positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or fixture.
Sets specified rotation speed, feed rate, and depth of cut, and positions tool in relation to work piece
Starts machine, turns hand wheels to feed tool to work piece, and engages feed
Turns valve handle to direct flow of coolant against tool and work piece
Observes cutting action of machine to detect excessive wear or malfunction
Verifies conformance of machined work piece to specifications
Scribes reference lines on work piece to lay out interrelated surfaces, lengths, and depths of cut
Computes unspecified dimensions and machine settings
