Job Description:

Leading aerospace company in Windsor Locks, CT seeking Catia V4 Designer. Must be able to do 3D modeling and 2D drawings using CATIA V4. Five years minimum airframe structural design experience utilizing sheet metal and machined parts and requiring only minimal design supervision. Must have the capability to conduct layout work that will establish new design configurations for review prior to starting detail design. The layout(s) will show proper load paths and methods of structural support aligned with the manufacturing plan. Must be able to complete both assembly and mono-detail drawings quickly and accurately. Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing and dimensioning.

Duties:

Basic Data preliminary design and Detail design of composite, sheet metal and machined airframe parts, assemblies and installations using CATIA. Near-term efforts will be on Basic Data layouts. Must be proficient in working with peers in a product team environment in order to coordinate with adjacent airframe and/or systems components
