Controller/CPA

IAI International, a wholly owned subsidiary of IAI Ltd., an International Aerospace Company, is seeking a Controller/CPA for it's newly consolidated Arlington Virginia facility.  Areas of responsibilities are as follows:

 Financial Statements

q Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for the Company, including analyses and reconciliation

q Prepare the quarterly financial statements of subsidiary companies

q Prepare the consolidating financial statements of the company and its subsidiaries

q Review the quarterly consolidated Cash Flow Statement

 Budget

q Prepare the annual operating and capital budgets and related schedules

q Compare the budget to actual results and analyze the variances; provide department heads with actual vs. budget schedules

 Payroll & Benefit Programs

q Manage and administer all employee payroll and benefit programs including health and welfare, pension, transportation fringe and flexible spending

q Prepare the quarterly pension statement

 Insurance, Legal, Miscellaneous

q Responsibility for the Company's insurance program

q Prepare tax schedules and state allocations to facilitate preparation of consolidated tax returns

q Coordinate all audits and act as liaison with outside auditors and parent company

 Daily Operations

q Oversee the daily operation of the Finance Department

q Ensure accuracy of all general ledger transactions

 

Qualifications:

 

?  7-10 years experience as a Controller

?  Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field;  MBA a plus.

?  Certified Public Accountant

 

In addition to the above, ideal candidate will have experience in:

 

Mergers and Acquisitions

Due Diligence examinations and analyses

Dealing with a wide gamut of tax issues
