About the Company

DayJet Corporation was founded in 2002 to fill a market void for commercial-scale, on-demand air transportation. The company will build and operate the nation?s first ?Per-Seat, On-Demand? regional air service based on a new generation of very light jet aircraft and its own real-time operations system later this year. DayJet has a simple yet powerful mission: to make on-demand regional travel widely accessible and affordable. Within a given region, we will offer service between designated regional and community airports that currently have limited or no scheduled airline service and are capable of supporting "Per-Seat, On-Demand" operations. This network of airports, called DayPorts?, will serve as the primary points of origin or destination for DayJet?s services.

 

Position Summary

We have a future opening for a DayPort Project Manager in our Delray Beach location. Reporting to the DayPort Deployment Manager, this position coordinates the scheduling of key components of the ?DayPort? build out. This necessitates liaising with internal and external stakeholders, organizing the associated ?moving parts? and ensuring milestones are met on time and on budget.

As DayJet grows regionally, this position will manage multiple location build-outs throughout the Southeast using mostly existing infrastructure.  This position will require frequent travel throughout DayJet?s Service region.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 Simultaneously build out a number of DayPorts to a prescribed program, timeline and budget.

 Demonstrate the ability to act decisively, with a clear understanding of affects on DayPort deployment.

 Act as the main conduit for communication between DayJet and the business partners associated with each DayPort.

 

? Apply for and expedite building code permits where required.

 

? Generate reports to monitor the build out process and address delays with a measured approach.

 

? The DayPort Project Manager will work closely with other operational groups within DayJet.

 

? Obtain the necessary documentation from DayJet departments as part of the application process for airport operational agreements.

 Adhere to contract agreements.

 Understand the administrative processes relating to applications for obtaining work estimates, outsourcing services, ordering equipment and materials, raising purchase orders, organizing subcontractor schedules and controlling budgets,

 Control inventories and installation of DayJet equipment prior to operational handover.

 

? Demonstrate an ability to instill confidence within colleagues that their departmental needs are understood and will be delivered on schedule.

 

? Reinforce and enhance established business relationships and foster new productive working relationships.

 

? Provide recommendations for improving the effectiveness, efficiency and scalability of the DayPort build out program.

 Communicate and implement company work rules, performance standards, and departmental operating policies, ensuring all efforts are made to achieve DayJet?s corporate objectives Other assigned duties.

 

Skills: Ability to develop build-out processes and systems using best practices and feedback from their hands on experience and DayJet team members and business partners. The successful candidate will have the ability to work within the existing DayPort protocol while developing the system in the light of best practice and feedback from their hands on experience in the DayJet world.Excellent planning, organizational and execution skills Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills Communicate effectively with sincerity at all levels Finely tuned business acumen Proficient with Microsoft Office, project planning software and prior experience using a CRM system Technically aware of customer care, maintenance and flight operations? needs Proven ability to multi task over an extended geographical area Robust time management and situational awareness Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Qualifications and Experience: The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field of deploying, relocating or enhancing corporate infrastructure (ideally in a service business) over a number of sites simultaneously. A proven track record in successfully managing the logistical demands of bringing project plans to fruition.
