Director, Flight Operations
Education
Engineering, Math or Science Degree.
QualificationsTest pilot school graduate or ten years practical experience in experimental flight test. Minimum of five years experience in production flight test operations. Capable of managing a highly skilled and motivated pilot workforce. Good leadership skills and thorough knowledge of general aviation business aircraft. Ability to thrive in a start up environment and adaptable to change. Self starter with confidence in knowledge of the field
5,000 hours total time, Airline Transport Pilot license, Jet type rating w/varied experience.
Secondary Skills:
MBA a plus. Graduate of military test pilot school. Demonstrated skill as commander of military or civilian flight organization.
Primary ResponsibilitiesManage, control and direct all Eclipse 500 aircraft to include all corporate, marketing, sales & demonstration flights, production flight test, AOG support and customer acceptance flights.
Manage budget and staffing of Eclipse Flight Operations department.
Participate as a regular member of the following boards: Configuration Control Board, User Interface Board, Technical Action Board, Continued Airworthiness Board, Safety Review Board, and Flight Operations Safety Board.
Interface with Government and Industry partners on flight operations issues.
