Director, Supply Chain Mat'l Mgmt

The Director of Supply Chain Material Management will be responsible for the successful operation of activities which have major significance to the organization. This person is responsible for the integration of all supply-chain and master scheduling functions, including interactions with internal and external customers and suppliers. Knowledge of aerospace industry products a must. He/she must be a proactive leader with the ability to make responsive decisions that balance the strategic and tactical needs of the organization.

Typical Responsibilities Include: Leading logical master schedule decisions and production schedules. Determining organizational objectives, interpreting Aerojet policy and delegating assignments to subordinate managers or supervisors. Provides guidance and mentorship to personnel in the department. Will review overall budget schedules and performance standards and review and approve major expenditures. Must foster ethical conduct, practices and personal integrity throughout Aerojet. Manage the self-audit activities of assigned functions. Responsible for obtaining resources and for resource planning, scheduling and cost control. Must conduct briefings and project review meetings for top management and customer representatives. Will interact with intra-organizational managers concerning matters of significance to Aerojet.

Requires a Bachelor's degree and 14 years of directly related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree desirable. Requires experience in ERP systems and Operational Excellence processes and tools. Should be familiar with MRP systems integration and processes and MMAS (Material Management and Accounting System) compliance and procedures. Must have experience in government procurement subcontracting processes and procedures (FAR). Requires strong analytical tools and experience and training/experience in operational excellence processes and tools. Sarbanes-Oxley familiarity is desired. Should have a working knowledge of EVHMS systems. Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent U.S. Resident.
