EW Power Electronics Engineer (CEWD 209)

We?re currently seeking an innovative EW Power Electronics Engineer to join our unique team as we continue our history of excellence.

The EW Power Electronics Engineer will be responsible for prime power systems design and integration for fixed, transportable and vehicular systems, inlcuding UPS systems, EMI, TEMPEST, FCC/CE, etc ?

The EW Power Electronics Engineer must be an expert in the design of AC and DC power conversion and distribution systems to be used on military platforms such as the HMMWV.

Must be familiar with batteries, battery isolators, air conditioning, electrical power (e.g. World Wide power, MIL-STD-1275B), EMI/EMC/TEMPEST, lightning protection design considerations, and the selection of COTS components to satisfy Military requirements.

Must be familiar with all applicable safety, UL, and IEC standards.

This position will contribute to all aspects of the developmental process (including the generation of design documentation, drawings, ICD's, etc ?) and assure that the project objectives are met. In addition to working with CEWD personnel, the person in this position will work closely with customers and will be the technical lead and focal point for Power Electronics issues.

B.S. degree (minimum) in engineering is preferred.
At least 10 years experience involved in Power Electronics Engineering. Experience with Power Electronics design on vehicular platforms (e.g. HMMWV) implementing the use of +12 VDC, +24 VDC, and World Wide 120/220 VAC power up to 10 kVA is preferred. Experience with performing and passing Electrical Power, EMC/EMI/EMP and TEMPEST testing is preferred. Have good communication skills and team building skills. Have background in preparing white papers and proposals. Having DoD clearance at the Top Secret and higher level is preferred. Looking for someone who is hands-on and enjoys working at the detailed documentation and hardware/software integration level to solve design and integration problems assoicated with placing SIGINT capability on a HMMWV.
