These positions are for Electrical Engineers working in Systems Engineering roles to be located at Honeywell D&S - Albuquerque. The Systems Engineers will provide technical and analytical support to the U.S. Army's Office of the Product Manager for Mortar Systems (PM Mortars) Weapons and Fire Control Branch.
The positions require an Electrical Engineering background with Systems Engineering experience and capabilities necessary to define, analyze, and manage system-level requirements; develop system architectures, specifications, and interface control documentation; and conduct assessments of current technologies or under development that could be adapted to mortar fire control.
Responsibilities will include interfacing directly with the U.S. Army customer to identify specific mortar fire control system needs, defining preliminary system requirements, conducting technology assessments, developing system design concepts, preparing technical reports, and presenting assessment results to the customer. Business travel will be required.
Basic Qualifications:
1) Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Science discipline.
2) Candidate must possess at least six years systems engineering experience.
3) Candidate must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
Additional Qualifications:
An Electrical Engineering degree and 6 to 8 years of industry experience are strongly preferred. Previous U.S. Army military experience is desired, but not required. U.S. Army Senior 1LT or higher rank infantry officer with direct experience with mortars, or a Field Artillery Officer who has served as a mechanized infantry Fire Support Officer is preferred. Excellent communications skills.
