Electronics Engineer

Work with the engineering staff to develop and validate various special purpose, low/high power Doppler (CW and pulsed) radar, acoustic, and laser systems. Will perform detailed electronic circuit design/analysis, work closely with the project leads to coordinate prototyping activities, and be responsible for the assigned CCA and system design from concept through pre-production phase. The individual must have experience in one or more of the following disciplines: digital signal processing (DSP), RF circuit design, analog circuit design, digital electronics design, FPGA design, and/or optoelectronics design using CAD design tools.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

? Design and validate complex mixed signal analog and digital circuits (signal conditioning, A/D, D/A, power supplies, microprocessor/DSP embedded systems, FPGA/CPLD).

? Participate in Circuit Card Assembly and system test planning and procedure generation for first article.

? Participate in all phases of design activities.

? Perform detailed CCA and sub-system design work.

? Work through all design activities for assigned projects.

? Work closely and share innovative ideas with engineering design teams.

 Required Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, the candidate will meet the following requirements:

? B.S. in Engineering or Physics (or equivalent) with 3+years experience.

? Experience in digital and analog Circuit Card Assembly layout and construction techniques.

? Experience with performing simulations and analysis as required.

? Ability to work with and without direct supervision.

? Computer literate.

? Entry level understanding of electronics industry product lines and industry road maps.

 Desired Qualifications:

? Experience with digital busses and architecture concepts.

? Experience in analog circuit design and development

? Experience in power supply design and development.

? Experience in digital signal processing applications.
