Engineering Systems Aministrator

POSITION SUMMARY Supports and/or improves Engineering systems & processes with information technologysolutions. Develops, designs, and analyzes the most complex problems and/or programs. Ensures integrity of CATIA, Engineering databases, transaction processing and reporting systems, security, resource monitoring, reporting, and the development of specialized systems and processes.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Expert with CATIA V5 and CATIA V5 administration and proficiency with CATIA V4
Aptitude to integrate product development lifecycle processes and applications for Engineering (e.g. ENOVIA V5, CATIA v5, MKS, DOORS etc.)
Code and develop (in coordination with Group IT) process automation (.net, asp, html. VB, C++, etc.)
Ability to develop and deliver training and at-elbow support on best practice uses of Computer-aided Engineering (CAE) tools
Proficiency optimizing RISC and PC performance of product development lifecycle applications and processes in networked environments
Advanced experience with data management, lifecycle workflows, security, transfer, vaulting, and encryption

 

JOB DUTIES
Administer and maintain CAD/CAE/KBE Engineering applications
Provide expert application support to department CAD users; coordinate and conduct training
Administer CAD model lifecycles with V5 VPM (Dassault's ENOVIA)
Establish CAD environments, standards, catalogs, and systems
Gatekeeper for data model workflow to customers and suppliers
Develop automation of CATIA r5 standard tasks and modeling
Liaison between manufacturing and product Engineering groups for modeling standards and design
Administer Windows OS environment for Engineering applications
Develop, coordinate, and deliver targeted application training to users

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree (BA/BS) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through five-ten or more years related application/infrastructure experience utilizing the company's standard toolsets.  Specific assignment may require recognized certification in area of expertise. Experience in Aerospace manufacturing environments (i.e. detail parts, components and machine programming) is preferred.
