Equipment Management Supervisor

DESCRIPTION

Performs all duties in the operation of an Equipment Management Section (EMS). The EMS manages all WRM equipment assets (Harvest Falcon, Bear, Force, and AGE) maintained on authorized/in-use details (EAID) with the exception of vehicles, munitions, and medical. Ensures all updates in AFEMS are entered into the Single Database (SDB) immediately for reporting of WRM commodities. Adheres to all aspects of the ISO 9001 Program.

Ensures all updates in AFEMS are entered into the Single Database (SDB) immediately for reporting of WRM commodities. Adheres to all aspects of the ISO 9001 Program.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

?  Processes all  Equipment Transaction requests into the Air Force Equipment Management System (AFEMS).  Prepares action request forms to document any Equipment Management Section directed actions.

?  Updates the Single Database immediately  with the equipment updates made into AFEMS for reporting of all WRM commodities.

?  Ensures all equipment assets are inventoried within one year and corrects any discrepancies that might have occurred. Once inventory is complete, discrepancies cleared, processes a new Custody Accountable/Custodial Receipt Listing (CA/CRL) and gets this signed by the equipment custodian for file.

?  Ensures all equipment authorizations are maintained within current allowances.  Inputs allowance changes, ensuring allowances meet current directives.

?  Reviews allowance change notices, coordinates changes with custodians to resolve problems, and directs the turn-in of equipment no longer authorized.  Ensures serviceable items are maintained on details separate from unserviceable items.

?  Helps custodians on matters related to their account.  Provides requested information related to equipment authorization, shortages and status.  Assists in the inventory of equipment returned from deployment, and processes all transactions to ensure accountability is maintained.

?  Assigns authorized/in-use detail document numbers.  Processes non-EAID equipment issues and serviceable turn-ins on activity code ?P? inputs.

?  Periodically reviews excess equipment to correct shortages in the WRM packages and coordinates the movement of the property to the storage site.

?  Assists in the training of newly assigned personnel, and maintains a self-inspection program.

?  Performs other additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 Knowledge of basic mathematics, SBSS policies and procedures and principles of property accounting through manual or automated systems is mandatory.  Must have a minimum of 7 years experience in Air Force SBSS equipment and Air Force Equipment Management System (AFEMS) procedures.  Should be computer literate in small computers and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Be able to obtain a local driver?s license.  US secret security clearance required.
