Flight Test ( Design Eng.)
Job Description:
Design, operate, and oversee fabrication, installation, and checkout of data acquisition systems for aircraft flight testing. Duties include calibration methods, IRIG 106 Chapter 4 PCM/ Chapter 8 bus/ and Chapter 10 data files, MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC-429, IRIG 200 serial time code, L-Band telemetry, solid state recording, digital video recording, and aircraft wiring. Electrical design includes use of CADAM, CCD, or CATIA for wiring diagrams, hardware specification and procurement, and required documentation. Will be part of a flight test team that includes functional organizations, Flight Test Engineers, and Data Processing. Will work with test data systems include Teletronics Technology signal conditioning and multiplexers, Heim Data System recorders and solid state memory. Some travel including overseas is anticipated and overtime and weekend work may be required.
