IA Instructor

Description: The instructor will work alongside existing contract and government geospatial-intelligence instructors in air, ground, naval, electronic, and other orders of battle analyses. They will teach the application of techniques and imagery sensor against intelligence problems. All are expected to be familiar with and capable of instructing theater and national imagery collection systems, as well as the fundamentals of digital and hard copy imagery exploitation. Duties include:

a. Provide subject matter expertise (SME) for the development and revision of geospatial-intelligence analysis courses that are instructional systems design (ISD) compliant. This effort is to include integration of multimedia course instructional materials, equipment, hard and soft-copy imagery.

b. Presentation of technical imagery-based courses to large and small groups of experienced imagery analysts, all source analysts and tasking office personnel. Course delivery will use a variety of instructional environments to include classroom, mobile training team (requires travel to external customer/military sites), video-teleconference, computer-based training, and team-teaching. Instructors will be expected to use of a variety of training materials to include softcopy imagery exploitation systems, multi-media presentations, view-graphs, light-tables, and hard-copy teaching aids.

c. Instruction will be "on-podium" and may require working multiple shifts.

d. Delivery of mobile training team imagery analysis training to external customers.

TS/SCI Clearance Required

Location: Several locations in the metro Washington D.C. area.

Required:
3) Working knowledge of national imagery exploitation processes, policies, and production cycles.
4) Experience working in SCI environment.
5) Excellent writing and briefing skills including good command of grammar and business communications style, i.e. the ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely.
6) Familiar with use of softcopy imagery exploitation software (e.g., Remote View, ERDAS Imagine, etc.).
7) Experience with MS Office and associated software tools, e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Access, Explorer/Netscape/HTML.
8) Experience in multiple military related identification and analysis areas.
9) An understanding of Instructional Systems Design (ISD).
10) One-year experience in an adult learning program (e.g., service intelligence school, college, or senior high school) or successful completion of a military, educational, or commercial certified program equivalent to the 80-hour NGA College, Instructor Training Course (ITC).
11) Training or experience in the use of geospatial intelligence analysis applications and product development.
12) Intelink system user proficiency.

Desired:
1) BA/BS degree.
2) Completion of the Defense Sensor Interpretations and Applications Training Program (DSIATP) or the Community Imagery Analysis Course (CIAC).
3) Experience working in Indications and Warning environment.
4) Working knowledge of development of learning objectives; methodologies of lecture, demonstration, and practical exercise; adult learning theory, and use of training aids.
5) Three years experience with commercial, theatre, or airborne imagery collection systems.
6) Three years experience in training using softcopy media.

Qualifications:
Required:
1) Completion of a military service or national imagery analysis course (i.e. National Imagery Analysis Course [NIAC] or the Geospatial Intelligence Training Program [GITP]).
2) Minimum three years applied imagery intelligence experience at the national or operational military command level.
