IT System Architect

The Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) project requires a senior data center / system architect to establish the technical direction for the DHS Enterprise-level classified processing capability to include data center design (servers, networks, storage), disaster recovery solutions, enterprise application deployment, web hosting / service and WAN architecture. This position will involve COTS/GOTS software integration, support of system installation / configuration / testing, and development of technical documentation. Will be the project's technical interface to the PMO and DHS Component technical reps; will oversee technical meetings including Configuration Control Boards; and support the DHS PMO in establishing technical direction with DISA, the Intel Community and other federal agencies.

Requires a BS and a minimum of 10 years experience. Candidate will be a self-starter and will have extensive experience with a diverse range of UNIX and Windows computing environments and network equipment. Experience in the following areas is required: - Position requires experience in the design, implementation and operational support of enterprise-level data centers. - Must possess skills associated with UNIX / Windows software integration, experience with UNIX domains, and programming and/or scripting.
