In this position you will interact directly with NGA supporting cutting edge Advanced Geospatial Intelligence (AGI) programs as an imagery scientist. You will be responsible for initiating innovative approaches to exploitation of all forms of AGI; assessing AGI means and methods, and developing techniques to address technical and scientific gaps. You will also be required to present processed images and analyses to imagery analysts and managers; Provide ad-hoc informational briefings for analysts and managers for educating them as to the capabilities of AGI; and Support and participate in community and technology forums.
This position requires a Bachelors Degree in Science, Math, Engineering or related field and 5-8 years of work experience.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of imagery science
- Knowledge of remote sensing paradigms (HSI, MSI, thermal, radar, etc.)
- Expertise using COTS imagery analysis software (ENVI, RemoteView, etc.)
- Expertise using GOTS imagery analysis tools, libraries, etc.
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
A minimum of 2 years experience in, knowledge of, and experience working with remotely sensed imagery, expertise with COTS and GOTS tools and software packages, prior expertise with imagery analysis, effective interpersonal skills.
Candidates are required to have a current favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) which requires US Citizenship.
