Instrument and Controls Technicians

Job Description We are currently seeking multiple Instrument and Controls Technicians to work in the Thousand Oaks, CA area for long-term contract positions.  The scope of work would be performed for the biotechnology industry, more specifically with the development of future medicines to restore health and even save lives.  Will be responsible for performing/providing calibration, repair, installation, troubleshooting, loop checking and documentation of instruments and process control systems used in manufacturing and utility plants and analytical labs.  All work must be completed to assure minimal impact to production while complying with Good Manufacturing Practices and other regulations.

 

Requirements

Must have a thorough understanding of process control loops, loop checks, loop tuning of process control systems, with the ability to do programming and troubleshooting of computer based control systems (PLC, DCS, BMS, MMI).  Ideal candidates will have received training or hands on experience in such specialized subjects such as theory of control, analog and/or digital electronics, microprocessors and/or computers, and the operation and maintenance of a wide variety of field instrumentation.
