Essential Functions:
Provides strategic planning and direction for commercial paper tailored airway manual products and services to ensure continued market growth. Provides strategic planning and direction to an assigned portfolio of products and services to achieve continued market growth and business objectives. Produces competitive, market, and technical analysis reports to show progress of products to management. Investigates, researches, and tracks market and technology trends for new products and business opportunities. Manages the profitability and growth of assigned products and services in conjunction with internal and external customers and support organizations. Designs and develops promotional materials, surveys, and staff training individually or through group consensus, as required or requested. Establishes cost tracking methodologies to create Profit & Loss (P&L) statements for assigned products in conjunction with designated P&L leaders and the Finance Department. Creates and maintains product positioning documentation, pricing strategies, contracts and product improvement plans. Participates in customer calls with sales teams to clarify customer IT requirements, and to validate and resolve compatibility and installation issues. Provides a wide range of technical consultation ranging from a singular-product solution to a complex multi-tier customer hardware and software requirement. Researches and identifies special vendor pricing programs and promotions to benefit the customer and prompt sales. Takes an active role as a member of various product development teams. Feeds customer knowledge and requirements to other Product Managers to produce high-level, detailed product specifications for new features or technologies. Provides technical direction, guidance, and training to Product Manager Associates and other staff on new products, features, and client system integration. Develops and maintain effective working relationships with key customers and industry contacts to implement product improvements and drive sales. Performs other related duties, including special projects, as requested or required.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor?s degree in Aeronautical Sciences with a minor in Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor?s Degree in Aeronautical Sciences with a minor in Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of five (5) years experience in the field of aviation, aviation maintenance, and/or flight operations. Minimum of four (4) years of product management and product development experience from launch of a product through the entire life cycle. Minimum of one (1) year experience working with MS-Office and Oracle. Private pilot certificate with instrument rating desired.

Demonstrated proficiency providing pre-sales cycle product development consultation, information, and solutions as a catalyst for the sale of existing and planned products and services. Demonstrated proficiency functioning as a common internal and external point-of-contact for the consistent management and sale of products and services. Demonstrated proficiency multi-tasking and managing products and services in a fast-paced, diverse, and worldwide marketplace. Demonstrated thorough domain knowledge of designated aviation and/or marine markets, customers, products, and services. Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. domestic and international aviation and/or marine regulations, customer requirements, competitors, software products and related technologies. Demonstrated knowledge of liability, risk, intellectual property, contracting and other legal factors related to the sale of aviation or marine products and services. Demonstrated proficiency leading, guiding, scheduling, and providing product management expertise in the completion of diverse IT projects, and related products and programs. Demonstrated experience conducting original research and analysis, and the consistent achievement of projected results based on analysis performed. Demonstrated proficiency establishing and maintaining successful customer service relationships that frequently lead to the sale of products and services. Demonstrated proficiency communicating technical data and its robust application in computer hardware, software and peripherals. Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills, including making scheduled/unscheduled presentations before diverse domestic and international business development teams, executive management, and external clients. Demonstrated experience using diplomacy to negotiate, to resolve service conflicts, and to persuade others to embrace strategies proposed.
