LABORATORY ASSOCIATE

The Aerospace Corporation is a non-profit company whose central mission is to assist the Air Force in applying the full potential of science and technology to the advancement of space systems vital to national security. We currently have an excellent opportunity for the following in El Segundo, CA:

DUTIES --- Provides technical support to Members of Technical Staff (MTS) by helping plan, setting up, and maintaining laboratory systems and taking data. Monitor and track equipment calibration and property lists. Assists with testing and calibration of spaceflight instrumentation. Participates with scientists and engineers in developing and conducting research. Keeps laboratory well-organized. Is aware of safety issues and ensures that laboratory is compliant with safety standards.

REQUIREMENTS --- Bachelor or Associate degree. Applicable experience may be substituted for degree. Ability to use Microsoft Windows operating system and Office applications. Ability to follow instructions and document activities. Experience with vacuum systems and other specialized equipment highly desired.
