AIRCRAFT ? LEAD ENGINEER, STRESS ENGR, CERTIFICATION ENGINEER - AEROSPACE

Mechanical/Structural Engineer wanted for growing aerospace/medical company.  Abilities sought include leadership skills, project management, structural design/analysis, testing, mechanism design, and FAA STC/TSO certification.

We are looking for a really good ?up and coming? engineer - someone that is interested in leading people, and going above and beyond what is required.  Someone who is ready to break into leadership roles and supervision.

You don?t necessarily need 20 years of experience, but you should have at least 5-6 years of learning and a strong track record of accomplishment.  You must have experience and a passion for working in the complex and difficult aircraft industry.

Due to multiple growth needs, we have much flexibility in fitting candidates to the right jobs:

Looking for a lead engineer / project engineer to manage multiple design projects and direct support staff.

Looking for someone with extensive FAA STC and/or interior arrangements experience to work in our certification department.

Looking for a solid structural analysis person, someone with an FAA DER or good potential to become a DER with our support.  Good hand analysis and report writing required.  FEA experience desired.

Most work in all of our engineering jobs involves life saving medical aircraft interiors and aircraft seating, beds, and berth designs.  Includes new conceptual, mechanism, and structural design, product line organization, static load testing, certification reports, stress analysis, leadership, and many other engineering activities.

Specific traits and abilities we are interested in:

Ability to combine lightweight, cost conscious design with some basic stress calculations.  Mechanism design and ability to create extremely lightweight structures highly desired.  Good working knowledge of low volume, lightweight machining and sheetmetal designs.

Ability to think through, predict, and solve problems before they occur at assembly or in the hands of our customer.  Fast reactions and problem solving must be balanced with detailed focus at the right time.  Project management and leadership highly sought.  Must be able to interact well with and direct design efforts of others.

Experience with 3-D CAD highly desired.  SolidWorks preferred, but not required (will train the right candidate)

4 year engineering degree required in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, or equivalent.

FAA experience highly desired, including STC certification and seating TSO certification.  Design experience with aircraft seating, berths, or other aircraft interior equipment highly desired.  Structural test experience desired.

Must be personable, independent problem solver, able to run multiple projects simultaneously, manage critical schedule paths, and generally must be able to make great things happen. Must be team oriented, competitive, and self-driven to achieve greatness.

We are the number one company in our industry, taking pride in the products, services, and ultimately in the lives we save everyday by working here.  We strive for a culture of excellence through teamwork, fairness, and exceptional talent.  The right candidate will thrive in our entrepreneurial based, hardworking, competitive environment and will be rewarded with great work, exceptional profit sharing, growth opportunities, and most of all, great job satisfaction.

We are located in Woodland, WA (approx. 30 miles north of Portland, Oregon).  Send us a letter and your resume describing why you would fit well with our culture and succeed in this environment.  This is a great advancement opportunity for the right candidate.

Standard Benefits
