Liaison Engineer
Education
Minimum 2 year technical degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering related fields.
QualificationsPrimary Skills Required (must have):
A minimum of 5 years aircraft structural design experience, preferably in the general aviation industry.
Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is required.
Experience working with aircraft cabin, cockpit, wing, related hardware design, fabrication and assembly is essential.
The applicant must also have familiarity with ASME Y14.5M-1994 geometric dimensioning & tolerancing techniques
Self-starter, able to understand the interactions between the different engineering disciplines
Able to work in a cooperative, dynamic, team oriented environment
Able to interpret engineering drawings, tooling drawings and understand Manufacturing Work Instructions
Ability to interrogate Unigraphic models
Able to work weekends and/or shifted work week
Able to work second or third shift
Secondary Skills Required (nice to have):
A minimum of 3000 hours of hands-on Unigraphics (UG) experience is required (UG V17 or higher), with proficiency in parametric solid modeling techniques, complex surface lofting, assembly navigation, and drafting is a plus.
Experience in working with Microsoft Office products, iMAN and UG mechanisms is a plus.
Work closely with Industrial Engineering to identify cost reduction

Able to work aircraft wide evaluation (structures, electrical, interiors, mechanical systems, etc) or have the awareness of ?system level? interface to coordinate with the appropriate departments
Physical Requirements:
Lifting, work in tight spaces, prolonged sitting / standing, etc.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include design and/or repair of aircraft structures, possible interior attachments or electrical attachments, providing support to manufacturing and flight test, as well as liaison with different suppliers or engineering departments.
