Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager  will serve as a key team member in support of a major "linguist" services contract:

 

Background info: 

1 - Contract is to provide linguists for translation and interpretation services to all US Major Military Commands (PACOM, SOCOM, CENTCOM, etc)

2 - Candidates will be tested for certification to one of three Linguist categories (CAT I, II and III)

3 - Linguists will be embedded with the assigned military team (generally special forces or other forward deployed unit)

4 - In-country support will be minimal, but will involve administrative and some logistics support (ie: clothing, transportation services, reassignment/redeployment requirements, etc)

5 - Contract is for a base year and 4 option years

6 - Key Personnel will be required to possess or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance for work on this program

7 - Certain Categories of linguists will also require Secret and/or TS/SCI clearances

8 - The primary requirement is in Iraq, but there are 14 different uncommon languages that may be used under this contract vehicle, which may require support to countries outside the Middle East

9 - Award is not expected until after Oct 2006

 Minimum 10 years experience in personnel movement and logistics support and sustainment of large-scale deployments to multiple locations with diverse environmental conditionsSupervisory experience requiredCapable of managing electronic property control systems using Microsoft and other off-the-shelf software products; experience with manual inventory systems is a plusFamiliarity with Fed Government procurement and property management regulations preferredAbility to effectively identify materials/supply chain requirements and proactively provide solutions for CONUS and OCONUS requirementsExperience working successfully with diverse, multi-cultural work forceCapacity to make formal presentations using integrated information technology systemsWillingness to travel to remote areas with challenging living conditions, and high-threat security risksMature characterSelf-starterFlexible, responsive
