Manufacturing Engineer, Specialist

Rolls-Royce is pleased to announce an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer, Specialist in our Mt. Vernon, OH facility.

The successful candidate will:

Act as technical resource for the Assembly & Test Manufacturing Engineering Team.Lead the cost reduction effort for the Assembly & Test Value Stream. Develop, validate and execute process improvements in the value stream. Develop and implement engineered process solutions. Review and create work instructions and test procedures. Develop training for Assembly and Test personnel. Investigate and define root cause for Assembly and Test scrap and rework.

Position requirements include:

B.S. in Engineering or equivalent; 3-5 years actual experience in manufacturing; highly proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.) and MS Project; ability to work with a wide range of people and comfortable working in a union environment; experience in process improvement using DMAIC process; strong written and oral skills; self-starter; strong problem solving skills; conflict resolution skills; familiarity with ISO 9001 and SAP is a plus; knowledge of assembly processes a plus.
