Material/Process Engineer

Performs engineering assignments requiring full use and application of standard material process principals, theories, concepts and techniques. Responsible for the preparation, testing and analysis of a material's physical/mechanical properties. Typical responsibilities may include:
- Participates in the specification and use development of testing equipment/instrumentation.
- Participates in the testing and development of new and existing systems.
- May develop processes for new systems or improve existing systems.
- May design/specify prototype components and hardware and/or software.
- May participate in failure investigations.
- May program computer controlled process and test equipment.
- May assign work to and direct less senior material/process engineers/chemists and support personnel as required.

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Materials Science and tow (2) years of related technical experience in material/process engineering or a Master's degree in Material Science.

Work place may include areas where chemical materials are encountered. May involve exposure to shop environment including variable noise levels. Must customarily have a high consciousness for personnel and equipment safety. May be required to utilze a variety of personal protective equipment.
