Project Engineer/Mechanical Engineer III
Candidate will be responsible for assigned projects and proposals, including program design, cost, schedule and testing; Assume complete program responsibility under the guidance of a Senior Project Engineer and/or the supervising Engineering Section Leader for proposals and projects assigned; Coordinate with the representatives of Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality and Purchasing to plan and develop programs; Estimate and maintain effective control of project and product costs; Primary design agent for the product insuring all analysis for form, fit and function is complete; Prepare technical proposals for products including a description of the proposed equipment, envelope, performance, stress analysis, weight analysis, reliability, materials, and other data required to satisfy customer specifications; Provide instruction to other disciplines on project action required in the form of engineering orders, test procedures, purchase requisitions and interoffice correspondences; Review and approve product drawings, drawing release packages and drawing revisions; Maintain technical liaison with customers and vendors working through the Marketing and Purchasing departments; Maintain an accurate program accounting of project activity via a Project Record Book; Supervisory responsibilities are limited to instruction and coordination with other disciplines on project action.
Required:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline plus a minimum of 5 of years
relevant experience; CAD drafting/ 3D Solid Modeling (Pro Engineer preferred); Finite Element Analysis (Cosmos
preferred); Geometric Tolerancing; Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
