Qwaltec is currently seeking qualified candidates for the following opportunity in the Greenbelt, Maryland area:

 

Mission Readiness Specialist

(Mission Readiness, Operations Planning and Simulations)

The successful candidate will develop mission readiness products and plan/execute mission readiness simulations and rehearsals for NASA satellite programs.  Candidate should be able to identify user requirements, identify operations concepts, assess key operations elements and provide recommendations for optimizing mission success. The candidate should be able to develop system operating procedures and flight documentation; perform acceptance testing; design, develop, and provide user training; plan, schedule, execute, and evaluate mission simulation exercises and rehearsals; and provide engineering support to real-time operations.

 

Candidate should have a technical degree or an extensive background in preparing a satellite ground system for mission support. Military service planning and operating an operational satellite control center is also acceptable. The successful candidate must display exceptional written and verbal communications skills.  The successful candidate should be familiar with control center development activities and have experience with command and control applications.
