NSG Systems Instructor

Description: The instructor will augment government geospatial intelligence instructors in National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG) systems training as well as special topics as defined by the government. The NSG system is a collection of segments and projects of integrated hardware and software. The NSG is designed to provide digital end-to-end production of geospatial intelligence products, and is fielded to NGA, the US Commands, and selected national and military service sites. Instructor will teach end users in the operation and use of NSG segments, projects, and software tools. It is expected that the instructor be familiar with and capable of instructing NSG system use for geospatial production and imagery analysis. Specific duties may include:

a. On podium instruction (multiple shifts)

b. Provide subject matter expertise (SME) for the development of additional training initiatives

c. Provide back-up instructional support to government instructors

d. Travel as part of mobile training team initiatives to military commands

Location: Several metro-Washington D.C. locations

Knowledge of NGA geospatial products and services
Proven ability to exploit both softcopy and hardcopy imagery data

Proven strong communications skills (both written and verbal)

Desired skills and qualifications are:

Demonstrated working knowledge of national imagery tasking and collection processes, policies, and production cycles

Demonstrated experience with other than national collection assets (i.e. commercial, airborne, theater systems, unmanned vehicles )

Intelink user proficiency, i.e., the ability to conduct research against intelligence issues, navigate web sites, and find on-line resources

Geospatial analysis instructor experience, e.g. SOCET SET, Imagine, ArcGIS, RemoteView, ENVI, TNTmips, Intergraph products.

One year experience working in an SCI environment

One year experience in training using softcopy media

Demonstrated working knowledge of training materials production software, e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop

Proven knowledge of ISD processes
BS/BA degree

Qualifications:
The minimum skills and qualifications are:
5 years demonstrated experience as a cartographer, physical scientist, Geospatial or Imagery analyst.

TS/SCI level clearance
