Rolls-Royce is pleased to announce an opening for a Non-Destructive Testing Engineer in our Indianapolis, IN facility.

The successful candidate will:

Performs Non-Destructive Testing Engineer Engineering activities for internal operations and Rolls-Royce suppliers for all major Non-Destructive Testing Engineer disciplines. Conducts Non-Destructive Testing Engineer operator training and certification. Supports Material Review Board dispositions and other production support needs through the Non-Destructive Testing Engineer Committee. Conducts Non-Destructive Testing Engineer technique development and approvals for internal manufacturing and suppliers. Conducts root cause analysis and defines implementation programs for complex Non-Destructive Testing Engineer problems associated with internal manufacturing, suppliers and customers. Authors and edits Non-Destructive Testing Engineer specifications, procedures and industry standards. Performs Non-Destructive Testing Engineer activities associated with Supplier Advanced Business Relationship (SABRe) requirements related to supplier approval and control. Provides training and guidance for professional development of other Level III Non-Destructive Testing Engineer engineers. Represents Rolls-Royce in sensitive communications involving Non-Destructive Testing Engineer matters with regulatory agencies and customers, both internal and external.

Position requirements include:

Basic:  Bachelor's degree in engineering field; minimum of five years in an Aerospace Non-Destructive Testing Engineer Level III capacity; NAS 410, Level III certifications in multiple Non-Destructive Testing Engineer disciplines (must have Fluorescent Penetrant Level III Certification), and working knowledge in all Non-Destructive Testing Engineer disciplines; experience in conducting internal and supplier Non-Destructive Testing Engineer system and product audits; experience with internal and supplier Non-Destructive Testing Engineer problem investigations and corrective action; knowledge of specific computer operating systems relative to the position and Non-Destructive Testing Engineer operations.  Preferred:  Must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to participate in diverse teams, empower individuals and drive results; ability to analyze problems and make timely, quality decisions; must demonstrate creative thinking skills and sound judgement. Ability to organize activities, tasks and work through processes to maximize performance. Ability to build relationships with employees and foster open, honest and candid communication.
