Job Description:


The Training & Simulations Solutions Business Unit currently has an opening for a Political Analyst.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Scope: Provides political analysis of countries or areas of interest in support of US Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) Joint Experimentation Program (J-9) objectives. Conducts assessment and assistance in the designated field of political analysis in support of Operational Net Assessment (ONA). ONA is an operational support tool based on a system-of-systems analysis of a potential adversary?s political, military, economic, social, infrastructure and information warmaking capabilities. Coordinates political analysis with Joint Interagencies and multi-national communities on real-world and experimentation activities regarding application of ONA principles. Actively contributes analysis of present, and anticipates future political trends, as a member of the Systems of Systems Analysis (SoSA) Team

 

Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Political science, international relations, or related disciplines preferred

 

Required Skills:

Must Currently Possess Clearance Secret
Must be able to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment as the political analyst component of a team of experts working to determine the correct overall approach to generate the desired effects within a virtual target nation.

2. Must have demonstrated exceptional writing and briefing skills.

3. Demonstrated ability to produce complex written products for Senior Management review and concurrence.

4. Demonstrated ability to develop strategic DoD and political strategies/recommendations and present to higher echelon commands.

5. Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully defend technical program assumptions and baseline program/project recommendations.

6. Demonstrated ability to professionally interface, produce documentation for, provide presentations and speak with authority to senior management and other DOD personnel and organizations.

7. Demonstrated ability to perform investigative research to integrate current and projected related efforts into a cohesive and comprehensive analysis report.

 

Desired Skills:
Military attach? or experience working with Embassy country teams or Military Field Area Officer (FAO) a plus
