Principal/Lead?Software Engineer--Radar

Position Description:

?

Software Development of real-time embedded avionics systems for Weather Radar, using C/C++ in accordance with DO-178B. Development of DSP software for TI DSP family of processors.?Participate in full software development life cycle including: requirements analysis, design, code, integration and verification. Complies with Honeywell policies, procedures, and HS&E requirements as applicable. Demonstrates Honeywell core values and Six Sigma principles. Drive continuous improvements in software engineering processes including cycle time reduction by challenging and eliminating unnecessary steps.



Basic Qualifications:


-Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or related field


-Candidate must have 10+ years experience with full life-cycle embedded software development


-Candidate must have 10+ years experience programming in C


-Candidate must have demonstrated experience in a leadership role

Desired/Additional Qualifications:


-Familiarity with DO-178B development standards


-Ability to design, code, and test new software as well as modify existing software with little or no supervision


-Experience developing embedded software for avionic applications highly desired


-Highly skilled in applicaiton of engineering scientific methods


-Ability to accomplish assigned engineering tasks within quality, cost, and schedule constraints


-Familiarity with SEI/CMM Level 3


-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
